Idaho Vacation-- Carter Side

When we go to Idaho, we split the time between both our families. It is nice to be able to see everyone on one vacation., but it does make for a very crazy week! My sister Micah was able to fly in from PA. So we had a little family reunion. It was very fun to have everyone there. We went out to Craters of the Moon. I had never been there before (even though it is right in our back yard so to say)

It was quite the time getting this picture.... yikes!

Bree was just excited to play with the rocks... and trust me there where plenty to play from.


So it was a fun adventure for us. It is basically a bunch of lava rocks. Not to amazing pretty but they had some cool caves to climb around in, and all the wild flowers were in bloom.

We of course went back out on the lake to do a few more trips with the wakeboard, I even got to try my hand at driving the boat... sorry Tyrel. He was the unlucky skier that got to to ride with me. I would show you more pictures of that but pretty much they are me splashing and crashing, and Brad doing jumps. But we did get a picture of these cuties:

We were also there during the fourth of July. Since Spokane does not allow any personal fireworks we were very excited to watch some at my parents house. And the kids of course loved the sparklers. Those are still one of my favorite fireworks.

If you couldn't figure it out Trey is the gangster in the blue jacket. He refused to take off the hat at any point that evening.

Kam was content with her glow stick, she conked out with in the first 15 minutes of the show.

Besides the fireworks we went to the Rexburg parade. Ty had scoped out the best spot for all of us, he saved the spot, with chairs, and of course the ever portable reclining couch. That is Tyrel for you. Brad did enjoy that spot though.

It was just great to see everyone together, and to welcome our newest member of the family. Spencer's little girl Tessa. She is such a cutie, and her dad and mom are so wrapped around her finger... even after 7 days. They are great parents. I got to take a few pictures of her; I love newborn pictures.


The kids had a blast playing with their cousins. And of course with Grandma and Grandpa. The older kids even got to have a fun night out with the Grandparents. They took all of them out in the backyard and had a fire with smores, and then slept out on the tramp. My kids could not stop talking about how awesome it was.


Kambree figured out that the motorized truck could move. Once that happened she did not want to get out. Poor Acadia got the job of giving her rides. Actually come to think about it she didn't mind at all!
