Halloween... and Pretty Much all of Fall

The Jedi Family. Complete with Yoda. We had fun dressing up as a family this year. Even if I just barely finished my costume 10 minutes before we left. It was FREEZING! By the end of trunk or treat we were ready for some Garfield and Charlie Brown's Halloween movies, and of course candy!

Kam really understood what Halloween was all about this year. She still a month later asks for candy as soon as she wakes up.

Trey's last soccer game. It was so cold. Like 30 degrees cold. I don't know what Spokane people are thinking some times! Although now I truly count myself as a soccer mom.

Here my little Bens all bundled up. With his poor little red nose.

Well we had lots of leaves to rake, I guess that is what you get for having trees. It is one chore that the kids don't mind doing at all.

Apples Yum!

Benson wasn't too sure about the leaves at first, but after the kids stop putting leaves on his head he warmed up to playing with them.

My four kiddos. I am so lucky to be there mom!

More leaf fun
It was getting a bit colder toward the end of the month.
We did leaf mazes and fox and hen games. Yeah we like leaves.

This is their favorite parts stomping down the leaves!

I just had to throw this one in. This is Kam's grumpy face.

So after we raked for a few weeks we still had one tree that refused to drop its leaves. Which isn't too unusual for that tree. Last year it didn't drop its leave until January. Weird. But this year its stubbornness did it in. We had a huge wind storm and heard a loud crack. We went out back and our tree had split in half. Lucky for us one part fell on one side of the tramp and the other on the other side of the tramp. Neither hit our house. So we are out our beautiful shade tree but at least there was no other damage.

The split

Brad on clean up duty. Yeah he wasn't too sad to use a chainsaw though.

We also made some super yummy (like to die for yummy) caramel apples, covered in chocolate then sprinkled with candy or cinnamon and sugar. So Yummy!

And in preparation for what happened the day after our tree fell over snow man cookies... yet we are talking about snow, of course that means the rest of the tree clean up is on hold until we can see the tree. But the kids and their friends had a great time icing the cookies.
