Well it is official. My little girl isn't so little anymore. She turned 8 in December. Now in our church 8 is a very important age. This is the time that children get to be baptized and become members. So in January we had a baptism, for Acadia. Our family was able to come and support her, and since she was the only one to get baptized that day the whole program was focused just on her. Her Grandfathers each spoke and she got to choose the music. It was a wonderful morning.

Acadia we are so proud of you. We can't believe how much you have grown in these last 8 years. The time has gone by so fast. It seems like just a little while ago we brought you home from the hospital and wondered how in the world were we ever going to be able to take care of this beautiful baby girl. Too quickly you were walking and talking and from there time has flown by. You have taught us so many things, and your sweet spirit is a blessing in our home. We love your willingness to help and play with your little brothers and sisters. It always offer hugs an words of encouragement. Your brothers and sisters look up to you and follow you for guidance. Thank you for being a great example to them. I am amazed at how much you know about the gospel and are willing to share it with all. You have always been so friendly and kind to everyone you meet. Keep accepting others and they will find out what a true friend you are. We love you Acadia.
She also got to have a birthday party. She wanted a Mock-over since we don't do sleepovers at our house a Mock-over is what she got. Ten 8 year old girls, came over in there PJ's to play games, paint their fingernails, eat pizza, watch a movie, sing and dance to their favorite songs, and of course eat way too much sugar. All this at from 6 to 10 at night. It was a bit crazy but alot of fun! Thanks to my friend Amy who came to help with all the craziness it went very smoothly.
Everyone had a great time and were so tired by the time they went home. Acadia could barely keep her eyes open.
