So my tune in tomorrow ended up to be a bit longer... sorry bout that! Here is the rest of our vacation. We stayed the night in Rochester NY. Their was a pool and the kids loved it. They have been pool deprived lately. My sister met us there and we spend the next few days with her and her family. It was so good to see you guys!

Amerie, Uncle Andy, and Acadia

Treyson
He was a bit hesitant at first. He decided he needed arm floates.

Kam loving the water. She stayed in until her lips were blue and chattering.

We took the tour at the Smith Farm and Sacred Grove. It was such a spiritual place. You can feel that something sacred happened in the grove. Acadia really understood what had happened there and was very reverent, Treyson we didn't think he got much out of it at all. But the week we got back he was in Primary and they were talking about the first vision, and Treyson raised his hand (this is a surprise he is usually pretty quiet in Primary) and excitedly announced that he was just there. I don't think too many of the teachers believed him because Acadia teacher leaned over and asked Acadia if they had really just gone. :) So maybe he did understand after all.

Kambree was zonked out. And it was so hot that we had to cover her over... Sleep well sweetie!

The kids liked the tall stools to sit on

Rolling down the Hill Cumorah

Niagara Falls. We could only go on the American Side.... Dang the Border Patrol. Brad's Passport expired and we didn't exactly know what the kids needed to get back so we just stayed safe and sound on the American Side. It still was an impressive view.

Trey Climbing the rocks.

The Fam by the Falls.
We were going to take the boat tour but they hadn't started yet... there was still ice on some of the falls. It was pretty chilly down by the water.

Needless to say after a full day like that everyone was tired.

The next morning we headed out to the Zoo. They were looking at a rhino down below.

This little thing was awesome. It is a piano. You step on a square and it plays a note. The kids had great time. Now if I could get one for my back yard. Humm I wonder if Brad could build one...

Acadia, Trey, & Tayla petting a pony.
Between the zoo, Easter egg hunts and General Conference our weekend went fast, too fast and before we knew it we were headed back to DC to jump on a plane for home.

This was the good part of the ride. The five hour plane trip. Kambree did okay. Acadia and Trey did great. We landed in Salt Lake and thought we were home free only two more hours to go... NOT SO. Our flight had been canceled. So after 1 1/2 hours of waiting in line we found out that next flight our whole family could get on was three days away. THREE DAYS!?!?!
Brad had to be back to work the next morning. So we got a slight refund of our tickets and hoped a ride in a truck with a friend of my Dad's that happened to be driving through SLC. to Idaho Falls, rented a car from there and drove to Spokane. So our 2 hours turned into 10 hours of driving, an extra night stay at Dillon, an extra day of school missed, a speeding ticket, and some really cranky kids. But the upside we got to see Shane and his family and my family for a little bit. Needless to say the kids did not want to ride in the car for a few days. All and all it was a fun family vacation. THANK YOU Obergs, and Ewells for letting come and stay.

FUN!! Well, except for the end! That pic of your family by Niagra Falls is adorable!
Danielle this was great! We have been to all those places, too, when Bryce was in Dental school. It is so awesome, but never enough time to see it all. We love your blog and seeing what fun your are having with your family. It is like seeing where and what the little gnome guy is doing. Just kidding, you take way better pix!
Love to all, Aunt Mary and the rest
What a wonderful trip!!! I love the pic of your family in front of the falls too. That's so neat that your kids got to see the Sacred Grove and understand how neat that was!
I'm glad you survived your trip home. What a nightmare!!!!
You are so so so lucky! That's my dream to get to go visit all the church sites out there! Awesome pics too!
I am just glad you got home safe!! You should have stayed with Aunt Jackie in Dillon. She would have loved it! Love Grandma Lois
How fun! We want to get to Palmyra and Niagara someday! Sadly, we lived in Maine and Michigan--I think both about 6 hours from Niagara and never made it. I love the pictures of the kids. It looks like they had a blast!
