I know that you think that Halloween only happens one night a year but I beg to differ. Anymore Halloween is at least a week long event. Come join us on our Halloween Marathon:
1) Making all the costumes

After a few unpicking sessions, three very late nights, and Natalie's help we finally finished both ballerina & Batman to perfection. And yes since it was a lot of work you will be seeing lots of pictures of the costumes. It is their one moment in glory before being relegated to deep dark box of "dress up"
2) Posing at the Pumpkin Patch

Our traditional picture taking place... except my camera card fizzled out on me. Thankfully my friends shared their pics with me.
3) Paying cash for the rides

I just have to show you the close up of her face... it's too funny to miss

4) Feeding all the animals

5) Painting pumpkins

Notice that we didn't have time to carve pumpkins this year. It went by too fast! But the kids loved painting their little ones.
6)Dressing up for play date

It was 88 degrees so we didn't even dress up in full costume... It was too hot!

Acadia & Ben
7) Hitting the pinata (Thanks Tonya)

8) Waiting in lots of lines

9) Tripping out at the Schools Trunk or Treat

It really wasn't worth the 1/2 hour wait for 8 trunks. We will know better next year.
10) Making Southern Smoked Chili for our ward chili cookoff

Yeah I forgot to take a picture... but it was yummy
11) Partying at the Ward Trunk or Treat

Ali & Acadia

Rock Star Brad

Three mighty Super heroes

Hanging out with friends
12) Eating too much Candy

Candy Candy Candy!
Needless to say, the parents are exhausted and the kids are on a sugar high. But hey we did get use out of the costumes right?! Hope you had a Happy Halloween

I love the costumes! Awesome that you made them. My family one year went as the Smurf family. It was so awesome.
After spending so much time and/or money making or buying costumes, I agree that you should get GREAT use out of your costumes :)
I love your little batman and pretty ballerina. Great job!
