My little guy Trey had a birthday this last week. I can't believe how much he has grown. We can now have very colorful conversations with him. They usually include some thing about being super fast, super strong, or just plain cool. He is such a fun little man to have around our house.

We had a superhero birthday party for him. We invited a bunch of families ( I was not about to be in charge of 20 kids with out their parents) over to a park for cupcakes and superhero fun. It was great. The kids dressed up and ran around complete with personal superhero masks. Brad and I got to have some great conversation time making those masks. :0) He was a good sport even when he really didn't want to do it.
We took 72 cup cakes and only came home with 4. Granted most of the kids has 2 or 3 ( a few of the adults also). This party only came off as good as it did with the help of two amazing friends: Kim and Natalie. Kim watched my kids, and Natalie helped me ice all the cupcakes. Thank you ladies!
Trey eating his birthday cupcake... they all had to be blue his favorite color. All the kids decorated their own masks and then we played balloon tag. This is a fun game where you tie a balloon on to a string and on to the kids ankle. Then they go around and try and pop the other kids balloon with out getting theirs popped! It was a great idea except half of the kids didn't quite understand that they were to pop other kids balloons not their own. Trey popped his own and was quite excited about it. The kids had fun whatever way they played.
Playing balloon tag.The party was held at a park that had a water feature. The kids had such a great time in their capes and swim suits running through the water and around the play ground. They played super heroes for 3 hours. It was so much fun to see them act out being the good guys and the bad guys.
