The Bird Preserve

Brad has been working very hard on his personal statement and other application documents for residency. For the last 3 days he has pretty much been at the computer trying to put his whole life in a very amazing one page paper. Needless to say it is not easy. So during the conference break he decided we needed to get out of the house. We just started driving and saw the sign for the bird preserve. We have been here for three years and have never been there. So we decided to give it a try. It was a nice break. We saw lots of ducks, a few cranes, some quail, and a road runner. Along with a rabbit and lizards. The kids liked being outside the weather is perfect so it worked well. By the time we were done we even got a little exercise we walked 1.43 miles. The kids did all by them selves. We were impressed.
