Family Home Evening

Typical Wynn Family Home Evening....

We all sit down and sing a song. Usually one that Acadia is learning in Primary. This hold everyones attention especially because Trey contributes by pounding on the piano. Then comes opening prayer. Still holding the attention pretty good... And then the lesson... This is what happened this week....

Picture the chaos of my house (if any of you really know me my house is ....well ahhh messy for most of the day. But to redeem myself I do usually get it all under control by the time I go to bed.) Then our two kids. Acadia had her scripture picture book out and Treyson had his Treyson picture book out and Brad had the thought and the scriptures out. We were reading in the Doctrine and Covenants 88:119

"Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a , house even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, house of order, a house of God; "

During this time Acadia is trying to talk louder than Brad about what Joseph Smith saw in the forest and trying to sing one of the primary songs. Treyson was increasingly getting louder and louder trying to get Brad's attention... to about a four wheeler picture. And I was chuckling to myself at the state of our choatic family home evening. Brad then read verse 122 :

"Appoint among yourselves a teacher, and let not all be spokesmen at once; but let one speak at a time and let all listen unto his sayings, that when all have spoken that all may be edified of all, and that every man may have an equal privilege."

Now this was ironic-- everyone was trying to talk at once and Brad was getting louder to try to get everyones attention which only made Acadia and Treyson get louder. By the end I was laughing at how perfect this family home evening fit our family. But by the end we did calm everyone down and everyone took their turn and finished what they wanted to say... and we clean out and organized the kids room for the activity. All in all it went pretty well. Welcome to the life of the Wynns!

If we combined your family home evening with ours we'd have enough chaos to blow up the universe!
Seriously though, you're making good memories and I know you'll be blessed for your efforts:]
