The Airplane.. They were heading to get Daddy from Work and then off to Alaska
This week is half over and It doesn't seem like we have done much, except the usual stuff. We have had a few really nice days so the kids a I head out to the fun new ( well new to our kids since we have only been there twice) park. It was great. My kids ran and ran and ran and ran up the stairs and down the slide. Acadia talked Treyson into going down the big slide and they couldn't get enough of it. Acadia went up the ladders and the rock wall to get up to the top... so that meant Treyson had to follow. I'll tell you what. It is scary when they want to be independent 10 feet off the ground. I couldn't reach him to help if he needed it. -- But he made it just fine.
Acadia is now in preschool. She goes twice a week for 2 1/2 hours each day. She loves it! She comes home with papers that she did and stories about what girl wore her hair this way, or what song they sang. It is great. It also lets Trey either nap or have one on one time with mommy. I don't know why I was hesitant to put her in before. She has now moved on to a new imaginary friend. Robin Hood is out the window and now we have puppies and kittens. It is quite funny to see me holding a pretend leash while Acadia goes and plays. If she comes back and I am not holding the leash still then she gets very upset. What an imagination!
We tried potty training Treyson and now we are not. He is not ready. I made the executive decision that it is not time for him yet. How did I come to that decision? 1) he screamed and kicked to go on the toilet. this was even after bribes of candy and a new toy... not interested. Then when we put him in big boy pants he would pee and it wouldn't faze him. He would sit in it until I noticed his pants were wet. This was after we would take him every half an hour. Although we did have one break through... he was standing in the kitchen when he peed his pants and it splashed all over the floor ( making the splashing sound on the linoleum floor) He stopped and looked up at me and said " Mom I pee! Yeah!" So for my sanity I have decided he gets to have diapers a little bit longer...

I like the potty training story. :) You almost had me convinced that I should start potty-training Lucas!!! I'm pretty sure he's not ready either.
I got the scrapbooking layouts off some links on my friends' blog: Rick and Janae. You have to have photoshop to use them. Gimpshop is a good free one. I've been thinking about doing digital scrapbooking for Lucas' book. We'll see if it happens! :)
