LDSSA Opening Social

School has started so that means the LDSSA Opening Social. This years party was at our pool. We had a pretty good turn out. We met a bunch of the new 1st years and even some 2nd years that I hadn't met before. We had no casualties and lots of fun. The kids loved the water and so did some of the more daring adults. Although it seemed that after a while the hot tub was where the kids all ended up. My kids especially went crazy over the pop-- you think pop is a rare thing in our house or something.

We served scones-- that was Sharlene's great idea. It was pretty easy to do. Sharlene and I were in charge of cooking the food-- so we were for the most part behind the cooker. We kind of over planned for the amount of scones. We had at least 200 rolls left over. I guess we will be eating sandwiches for a while! Everyone seemed to enjoy the party- I have to admit it very nice to have it all done-- one party down only three more to go!
